A pedagogical footpath for discovering renewable, energies and biodiversity
The commune of Saint-Georges-les-Bains, in Ardèche, has installed a pedagogical pathway at the heart of the communal forest, in partnership with CNR.
Inaugurated in September 2022, this path makes hikers aware of the importance of biodiversity and renewable energies, while offering a unique hiking experience. Enlivened by the young dragon “Gorgie”, this emblematic and legendary figure of Saint-Georges-les-Bains was chosen to accompany and present the pedagogical pathway and its works, and teach how to preserve this forest.
Presentation of the circuit
Walk along this path equipped with pedagogical panels which forms a loop in the forest. The panels make the onlooker aware of the wealth of local biodiversity in this forested area, and of the renewable energies visible while walking, owing to the presence of a wind farm and a solar power plant in the commune.
