Wind turbines at the heart of Mayenne
Inaugurated on 26 May 2009, the wind farm of Le Horps stands proudly with its 6 majestic wind turbines reaching into the sky to a height of 120.5 metres, of which 85 metres for the mast. Each has blades 35.5 metres long, and is a symbol of innovation and progress. With a capacity of 13.8 MW, generating 27.1 GWh a year, this wind farm is a source of renewable energy providing the electricity necessary for around 10,100 inhabitants.

Your safety is our priority
- All adult visitors must show proof of identity (valid identity card or passport, or French driving licence provided that the photograph resembles the holder).
- Groups limited to 30 people with the obligatory presence of 2 accompanying persons (limited to the pedagogical team).
- A list of pupils and accompanying persons must be communicated before the visit; access to the site is forbidden to persons not on the list.
- Any action contrary to or not in compliance with the safety rules during the visit will lead to the immediate halting of the visit and the evacuation of the group outside the CNR site.

Visits are possible every day during open periods as a function of the time slots available.

Please note:
Visits can be suspended without notice for reasons of public order by demand of the authorities. This may also be the case of major maintenance works or due to force majeure. Access to the sites is not allowed in the case of heat waves, rain, storms and violent wind.

From Montreuil Poulay, take the D34 direction Lassay-les-Châteaux. Turn right to take the D258. Take the first left. Meeting at the wind farm carpark.
Meet at the wind turbine parking lot.
Practical information
- You must wear trousers and trainers or hiking shoes. If not, you will not be allowed to enter the site.
- Do not use your cell phones, laptop computers, cameras, dictaphones or any electronic devices. They are prohibited during the visit.
